Step 5: Preparation for the
Wedding Mass/Service
LITURGY
Prepare your own Liturgy Mass booklet, personalised with your choice of Scripture readings and liturgical hymns to enhance the sacredness of the occasion (please send your booklet to parish priest for approval). Some parishes do not allow overhead projection, so do have enough booklets for all.
CHOIR
Usually Church choirs are available from the parish, but you can have your own choir if permitted, as long as they adhere to Catholic Church requirements (please send hymns to parish priest for approval).

FLORAL ARRANGEMENT
Most parishes have their own Altar Floral Ministry and may not allow individual floral arrangements, especially commercial decorators who are not aware of the liturgical themes of the Church. Some parishes do allow pew decortions or floral decorations outside the Church (please check with your parish priest).
LECTOR/READER AND COMMENTATOR
are sourced by you.
Altar servers are usually from the parish.

REHEARSAL BEFORE THE WEDDING

ARRANGE FOR A WEDDING REHEARSAL with the parish to include entourage, commentator and proclaimer.
